2004年　有限会社奥村恵子写真事務所設立　
2008年　写真展『シンチャオ』-bowery kitchen-

2013年 イマージュより独立

Photographer. Keiko Okumura

Born in Kanagawa prefecture in Japan,1970. and following a childhood interest in painting went on to study graphic design at Musashino art university, enrolling in a photography class. She started taking photos with Pen tax single-lens reflex camera, a present from her father.

As her interest in photography grew she switched from painting, aiming to become a professional photographer after graduating.

After initially assisting the well-known photographer Mr. Nakagomi, Keiko struck out on her own in 1997 working primarily in Tokyo. In 1998 she joined Image.
Her genre is taking photos of persons, fascinated by an instantaneous beauty of the expression,which, if she fail to capture on that instance, she may miss forever.

Keiko concentrates mainly in fashion and portrait, working for magazines and with many clients in advertising. Recent assignments have broadened her subjects to cover landscapes and still life photography.
